11 more days and it's time for some duck hunting here in Kentucky. Going to but out our decoys Sunday afternoon a little early but when you put out about 200+ floaters have to get a jump on it. The water on Barkley Lake is still low going to make it a little harder but that's hunting. Looking like it's going to be a great year. With God on our side it has to be. I'll post pictures after we get everything out. Happy hunting

Kentucky/Barkley Lake Duck Season 2014
Kentucky duck season is just around the corner, and I myself can't wait. We put our blind out on the first of the month, while the water was still up. I've been itching to get out there to put out some cane or even some decoys, but it's still a little early for that! Barkley Lake was so low when we put the blind in I didn't think we would get the blind to our spot. We had to walk it in. The mud was almost up to your knees with the water at about a foot deep. We had 3 men walking it in, with the rest of the crew in the blind telling us which way to turn. That was CRAZY, to say the least! Someone in the blind would say, "Turn a little left", so we did but our left was their right. LOL.. With the whole crew being family, there was not a harsh word said....YEAH RIGHT!... there were several! But we made it with no blood shed...LOL So, with that being said, HAPPY HUNTING, BE SAFE and TAKE A KID HUNTING.
